The Prophet s.a.w. recommended making dua upon boarding any vehicle as follows:

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
DUA FOR BOARDING A VEHICLE TRANSLATE IN ENGLISH
It is in the name of Allah that all praise is due. He is a perfect One, Who placed this (transport) at our disposal, and we would not have been able to do it ourselves.
