One of two international airports serving Beijing is Beijing Daxing International Airport, the other being Beijing Capital International Airport.

It is situated between Beijing and Langfang, in the province of Hebei. It is known as “the starfish.”

The airport, which serves Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, is located 46 kilometres south of Tiananmen Square, 26 kilometres west of downtown Langfang, 50 kilometres northeast of Xiong’an New Area, and 65 kilometres south of Beijing Capital International Airport.

The CN 80 billion facility, which took nearly five years to develop, has the largest single-building airport terminal in the world with a 700,000 m2 terminal and occupies 47 km2 of land. The airport was given the Airports Council International prize for Asia-best Pacific’s airport in terms of cleanliness in 2020.

Beijing Daxing International  Airport facilities:

During the first phase of the airport project, 72 million passengers will be served, 2 million tons of cargo and mail will be handled, and 620,000 aircraft will move in the long run.
